Moving along quite nicely... My very first Sew&Tell Project :)

This is the first time I've entered Amy's Sew&Tell at Amylouwho: random thoughts from a multi-tasker
Four down, three to go...

The front

The back
For this one I used the same purple fabric for binding, except this one turned out a bit wider, which looks nice. I realise my work is getting cleaner and cleaner, apart from the free motion, which is a great feeling. This is the more Christmassy quilt of them all, I'm a bit sad to part from it. I must say if it weren't meant for who it's meant for, I'm not sure I would! Fabrics by Amy Butler, moda, Ikea and a couple of others mixed in, just like the previous ones. It's a 40"x56" lap quilt.

  7. :) Thank you all for your lovely comments. Sara, the back and the binding are from Ikea. The binding is actually a pillow case the have of this luscious kind of shinny fabric. The solid white is also Ikea. Then I have some Amy Butler and the Christmas fabrics are from moda. There are some others I really don't know because they are from my stash and I can't really tell. Here in Portugal it's really uncommon to have designer fabrics, you just have your ordinary fabric shops with all sorts of fabrics :) Hope it helps!

  8. Nicely done! You've got some pretty fabrics in this quilt. I can see why you'd be tempted to keep it!

  9. I'm so glad that you decided to join in on Sew and Tell Fridays! Your quilt is just beautiful! I have just started doing free-motion quilting, too, and I can see a lot of difference in the last quilt I did. It definitely wasn't as stressful as the first time I tried it! I've only kept one quilt out of the 4 total that I've made and I'm new to quilting. It is a little hard to give some of them away, isn't it? lol
