I was asked to make something like this for a couch in some need for TLC (cat couch, you know how it is).

I'm so excited! I think it will look amazing once finished and it will be done in Ikea fabrics, and you know how much I loveeee Ikea!
I think it's funky and awesome and I can't wait to start :)

This has been a very exciting time for me as I've been trying to come up with some designs for items I've always wanted to do.
The first one to actually get closer to being finished is this cute little puppy. I already know that the next one will have much longer ears than this one, but I still think it's the cutest little thing :)

Esta tem sido uma semana muito excitante para mim porque tenho estado a tentar criar alguns designs para artigos que sempre quis fazer.
O primeiro a estar quase complete é este cãozinho. Já sei que o próximo terá orelhas mais compridas, mas ainda assim acho-o amoroso :)

Also, unlike the others I've made before, this one is really meant to be a pillow, so I didn't really embellish the back, although I think it still looks pretty cute.

E, ao contrário dos anteriores que fiz, este é uma almofada, por isso não tem grandes pormenores na parte de trás, ainda assim acho que ficou giro.

20 little stars ready to be sewn together :)

Today was my day off so I put it to good use. I've finished all 20 stars. It was actually easier than I imagined it would be. Now for the hard part: to add the curtain fabric, as requested. Let's see if it works.
Again, sorry for the bad picture quality, it's already dark, but I couldn't wati to show you how they are looking :)

New Year, new pattern...

I can't tell you how excited I am! It's been ages since I've tried new patterns, which is so typical of me: to discover something new I love to do and do it over and over again.

2011 was all about two patterns, so now it's time to introduce a new one. My amazing best friend Carla gave me Cath Kidston's Patch! book and I've been drooling over it for some time now (since Christmas, when I got it). There are some amazing projects, a lot of them on my to do list, but turns out I have an order for a beadspread for a family member, so I decided it was the perfect opportunity to try the Star Throw pattern.



Isn't it lovely? It's for a Summer house, no less, so I think it will look perfect :)
I've made some changes, as I've decided to mix other fabrics, as I usually do. Also, I've been asked to add a specific fabric that matches the bedroom curtains, so it is an added chalenge.

This is what I've got so far:

I can already predict it will be hard work, as all the stars are appliquéed, something I've never tried to do on such a large project, but I figure the end result will be amazing :)
